La Brasa

You walk in and are immediately welcomed with the warm smell of the wood oven, cool greenery and cozy decorations! This paired with $1 oyster special was exactly what we needed on a cold fall day. The food and service were excellent, and we stayed and dined for quite some time.My favorites were the lamb tostada and the tacos for appetizers. The swordfish and the duck entrees were amazing- served in a creamy sauce and mole sauce respectively, and very nicely arranged! Great decor and atmosphere and great food!

I like this place. It's one of those, if I lived in the neighborhood, I'd be there all the time spots. I've been here 2x - with 1.5 years between visits (l live in Seattle), and have been fairly impressed by the food both times.This round, opted for the striped bass, and fried chicken wing in mesquite brown butter - a must have. The meal was pricey. But I won't hold that against them. It was also delicious. When in Rome. Or Boston.

The $1 oyster deal drew us here. Oysters were good, but the rest of the dishes were only okay and overpriced. The potatoes could've been really good, but they were oversalted. The vegetarian tacos were not great and definitely not worth it at $5 each. Didn't try the drinks, but would consider coming back for a cocktail since the atmosphere is so nice. Service was also attentive and quick (though we felt slightly judged for not ordering more).

OMG! Amazing. Visited this evening and everything was great. The food was served promptly. I had the duck confit which comes with a rich mole sauce. Drinks could be better but other than that, great food great environment.

We chose La Brasa as the venue for our company holiday party and everything was just perfect! The staff was a pleasure to work with, the food was great, the drinks were great, and the vibe was amazing - it couldn't have gone more smoothly and everybody had a great time!

Solid quality food and drinks. This place is casual and has a lovely ambience. The chicken main course is so tender and has well balanced flavors. Would visit again!

Friendly warm staff make you feel comfortable and welcome! The space and staff just invite you to relax and enjoy. The food is also very good and tasty.

I love La Brasa! Not only was the food amazing, but the staff was so kind and helpful throughout the wedding day. As a photographer, La Brasa is a refreshing and unique spot full of cool photos spots. It's perfect for an intimate wedding!

I was pleasantly surprised by our dinner here. While reading the menu, I was ready to dislike the somewhat pretentious sounding dishes: individual chicken wings with snails, 5 dollar street-style tacos, and etc. We ended up getting a medley of food to try, and it was a fun experiment in flavors. One of the items was table-side prime rib, sliced by a very knowledgeable and friendly staff member. My favorite dish was the salmon which sat on top of a delicious salad of Thai basil and other fresh tasting greens and fruits. I enjoyed our dinner here, and I would highly recommend it!

Everything was awesome! The food was really good, with sizeable portions for sharing. The cocktails were creative and very tasty. Overall, highly recommended.

Amazing! Food, service, drinks,atmosphere.... they really have their stuff together. I had as Moscow mule they put jalapenos in the ginger beer to give it an extra kick! I tried several items on the menu and everything was fantastic. The skirt steak was a taste of heaven ..... no sauce needed the season is like a vacation for you're taste buds....I will be back for sure.

Gorgeous restaurant, lovely staff but the food is very exotic Mexican food and my daughter could not eat the food it was sooo spicey. The service was fast and our waitress was so very nice to us.

This is my new favorite place in Somerville. Everything on their menu is incredible. Highly recommend the duck confit! The mole it comes with is wonderful.Great atmosphere, perfect for a date.

Everything we had here was excellent: drinks, salad, mole...all were incredible!

Food was ok. I got the pork shank and it had no flavor. The shank was steaming hot on one side, cold on another. Very bland. Friend got the Ribeye and it was cold also. Service was good. Waiter was very nice.

Left pretty unimpressed. The prices are quite high for the food. The sweet potato starter was very good, and the baked chicken was juicy. Their whole idea is small plates, which is fine, but they’re super expensive. The service was fine but not outstanding. Also, their house-made ginger beer was undrinkable.

Great nuevo latino food selection!

I just had my 30th birthday dinner at La Brasa and have only good things to say. I had a group of 25 people and La Brasa accommodated my large group's requests. The service, food, environment were all great! I have only positive things to say about La Brasa and look forward to going back again.

Been here 3 times, once for dinner, twice for brunch. Attached picture is of steak and eggs and the pancake. All three times the food has been amazing. It's a bit pricey but the quality of the food is great

Everything about this place is amazing. The service is friendly, welcoming, and kind. The style of this restaurant is trendy and unique. And the food and drinks are way too good! Love it here
